She was predeceased by: her parents, Burlie Cornett and Ida Waters Cornett; her husband Frank Sanders; her children, David Sanders, Larry Sanders, Aretta Carroll and Lois Townsend (Commie Lee); her grandchildren, Jonathan Sanders and Tonnia Sanders; her great great grandchild Holden Green; and her siblings, Don, Boyd Cornett and Edna Hodges.
She is survived by: her children, Joyce Hartzog (Basil), Johnny Sanders (Debbie) and Lori Candler; her children-in-law, Brenda Sanders, JoAnn Sanders and Casey Carroll; her grandchildren, Shelda Townsend, Sherry Setzer (Aaron), Sonya Gray (Mark), Charlie Carroll (Shannon), Dawn Sturgill (Greeley) and Lydia Townsend (Joey); her great grandchildren, Tiffani Walls, Christopher Green (Brittany), Brooklin Carroll, Calvin Sanders, Noah Gray, Logan Sturgill, Daniel Sanders, Trenton Sanders, Bryson Carroll, Lindsey Sturgill, Hunter Townsend and Layla Townsend; her great great grandchildren, Braiden and Corbin Green; and her sisters, Marie Calloway, Rebecca Poncil, Rachel Hayden (Bill) and Lois Houck (Jerry).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church (1564 Silverstone Rd, Zionville, NC 28698). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
