She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Virginia Hood and Maudie Joyce Corbett; her former husband Wayne Johnson Lewis; her husband Thomas Preston Sherrod; and her daughter Joyce Lewis.

She is survived by: her children, Amory Lewis (Tom), Paul Wayne Lewis and Annette Carroll (John); her grandchildren, Greg Lewis, Dereck Lewis (Hien) and Ava Carroll; and her great grandchildren, Sean, Caitlyn and Colt Lewis.
