He was predeceased by: his parents, David Foster King and Cathrine Godfrey; and his brother Larry Wayne King. He is survived by: his daughter Kimberly Wood (Greg); his grandchildren, Michael Durham (Robin), Heather Yarbrough (Paul) and Julia Green; his great grandchildren, Daniel, Kacey and Henry; and his pet Marvin P Jones.
A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Beulah Christian Baptist Church Cemetery (8225 Mitchell Mill Rd, Zebulon, NC 27597).
