He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Perry and Luvenia Perry; his wife Phyllis Baker Perry; his son Dan Perry; and his siblings, Lynwood, Samuel, Albert Perry and Margaret Jordan (Louis).

He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Leonard of Zebulon and Wayne Perry (Marsha) of Creedmoor; his stepsons, Junior Driver (Velvet) of Henderson and Marcus Driver of Wake Forest; his siblings, Berry Perry (Faye), Marvin Perry (Jeanette), Louise Spencer (Ernest) and Linda Preddy; his mother-in-law Annabelle Baker; and his pet Boss. He is also survived by three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
