He is survived by: his wife Ann Holden Holmes; his children, Melanie Trotter (Curt), Rene Lowrance (Jay) and Nathan Holmes; his grandchildren, Alex, Zach, Caroline, Garrett, Grady, Gabby, Grace, Luke, Kileigh, Abby and Phenix; his stepson Ernie Holden (Jacqueline); his grandchildren, Tyler and Alaina Holden; and his cousin Sarah Wall Abbott. He is also survived by nephews, nieces.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Flat Rock Baptist Church Building Fund in honor of Haywood Holmes.
