He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Metzger and Lois Metzger (Neece); and his siblings, James Metzger, Richard Metzger and Norma Corzine.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Jane Pesch of Shelbyville; his sons, Brian Metzger (Donna) and Brad Metzger (Jenn); his grandchildren, Nathan, Joshua, Emily and Lucius; and his great grandchildren, Caroline, Avett, Addie, Nell and Jordan. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
Memorials in David's honor may be made to the choice of the donor and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home, who is assisting the family.
