Stephens (Ronnie) of Chesapeake, VA, Christina L. Amendolare (Michael) of Virginia Beach, VA, Michelle B. Etheridge (Frank) of Rocky Mount, NC and David I. G. Brumfield (Jackie Eskew) of Youngsville; his grandchildren, Audrey "Summer" Barnes, Anthony "Tony" M. Amendolare, Carson Hall Etheridge, David L. J. Brumfield, Madison A. Brumfield and Kathryn Lee Brumfield; and his brother Robert (I. Lee Brumfield). He is also survived by two nephews and a niece.
