He is survived by: his wife Dianne Newell (Bergeron); his children, Lisa Balcom (Tom) of Charleston, Michael Newell and Christopher Newell of John's Island; his stepchildren, Katie Howland Reader and Kevin Kroll of Raleigh, NC; his grandchildren, Olivia McMillan, Alexandra Balcom, David Balcom, Chloe Newell, Madelin Howland, Cameron Howland, Lauren Howland, Ashlynn Reader and Aiden Kroll; and his great grandchild Langdon McMillan.
