He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernice Norman Riley and Katherine Elizabeth Rudd Riley. He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Patty" P. Riley; his daughter Lori Elizabeth Riley of Eden; his grandson Riley Whitley; his brother Herman Bernice Riley of Mebane; and his close friend Hannah.
