She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hazel Gunn and Lottie Marshall of Washington; her spouse Mabry Joseph Desormeaux; and her daughter-in-law Amy Desormeaux of Raleigh, NC.. She is survived by: her children, Mabry Joseph Desormeaux, Jr. of Raleigh, NC and Sherri Lynn Desormeaux (Lee Shelton) of Providence, NC; her granddaughter Olivia Desormeaux; and her sister Hazel Delores Stump of Yanceyville, NC..

In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorial donations be made to Community Baptist Church.
