He is survived by: his father Joseph Allen Jones Sr.; his son Ethan Jones; the mother of his children Edwina Jones of Boston, Massachusetts; his siblings, Jennifer Daye (Donald) of Roxboro, Lisa Jones of Roxboro, Winifred Davis (Marvin) of Oxon Hill, Clara Massaquoi (Aman) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, James Jones (Jameka) of Danville and John Jones (Cheryl) of Roxboro; his aunt Carolyn Bass of Durham; his uncles, Bert Jones of New Jersey and John Jones; his sons, Anthony Lipscomb (Tabeitha) of Fuquay Varina and Andrew Brain Lipscomb of Burlington; and his close friends, Linda Clay and Nathaniel Jeffreys.
Viewing was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (1488 NC-62, Blanch, NC 27212). A burial was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 at the MacEdonia AME Church Cemetery (4164 Yarboroughs Mill Rd, Milton, NC 27305).
