We are sad to announce that on February 7, 2025, at the age of 92, Everlyn Spates-Brown (Yanceyville, North Carolina), born in Lake City, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Preacher Spates and Hetter McFadden Spates; her husband Willie James Brown; her children, Debra Brown, Robert Lee Brown and Larry Brown; and her siblings, Emma McFadden, Eloise Felder, Thelma McFadden, Flora James, Fred Spates, Wesley Spates, Bennie Spates and David Spates.
She is survived by: her children, Wilette Brown of Providence, Delores Daniel of Mebane, Janett Delgado of Brockton, Shirley Green of Burlington and James E. Brown of Fall River, Massachusetts; and her siblings, Letha Virginia Oatts of Pompano Beach, Florida and Ernest Spates. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and cherished friends.
Viewing was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the John & Juanita's. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home (219 Dillard School Dr, Yanceyville, NC 27379). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Johnson Family Cemetery (2583 Burton Chapel Rd, Yanceyville, NC 27379).
