It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eva Brooks Foster of Yanceyville, North Carolina, who passed away on June 22, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Deacon John D. Foster, Sr.; her children, Cassandra Denise Foster Johnson, Dean Brooks, John D. Foster, Jr. and Reuben Leon Foster; and her siblings, Shirley Brooks, Sarah Lewis, Hazel Brun Kaysen and Charles Brooks.
She is survived by: her children, Bernadette Foster of Hampton, VA, Sheronda Verner of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Harlan Foster (Lorraine) of Pelham, NC; her brother Everett Brooks, Jr. of San Francisco; and her sisters-in-law, Barbara Redding of Yanceyville, NC and Norma Foster of Yanceyville, NC. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
