She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Raymond Cobb and Mary Webster Cobb; and her daughters, Teresa Daniels and Lisa Lysan Oakley. She is survived by: her husband Edd Hassell Oakley; her daughter Renee Scott (Wayne) of Mebane, NC; her grandchildren, Alisha Scott-Holt (Ryan), Phillip Daniels (Tonya), Dustin Scott (Alicia) and Erica LaCoe (Matt); and also Margaret Ann Williams.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to Beulah Baptist Church or to the Leasburg Fire Department, 5783 NC Hwy 119 N, Leasburg, NC 27291.
