She is survived by: her husband Joseph Hamilton Fryar; her children, Brian Gregory Fryar (Tracie Hunter Bowers) of Winston Salem, NC, Deborah Garrison (James) of Durham, NC and Kimberley Corbett (Mark) of Burlington, NC.; her sister Mary Alice Watkins of Durham, NC; her siblings-in-law, Aaron Victor Fryar (Sherlene) of Clinton, NC and Barbara Fryar of Willingboro, NJ; her aunt Bessie Dozier (Richard) of Columbia, SC; her uncle Willard Smith (Fannie) of Midland, GA; her grandchildren, Brian-Anthony Garrison of Durham, NC, DeArndraa Garrison (Annessa Griggs) of Cary, NC, Jared Corbett (Zulma) of Yanceyville, NC and Raven Corbett Mason (Leland) of Zebulon, NC; and her great grandchildren, Destiny Boyd, Eli Garrison, Keenan DePas, Zayn Corbett and Khylinn Corbett. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Viewing was held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the John & Juanita's. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home (219 Dillard School Dr, Yanceyville, NC 27379). Visitation was held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Matthews AME Church (1136 Apple St, Burlington, NC 27217). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
