He was predeceased by: his father Joe Shelton; his wife Mary Shelton; and his siblings, Gracie Brown, Violet Dillon, Billy Shelton and Bobby Shelton.
He is survived by: his son Darby Shelton; and his friend Jerry Wilkes. He is also survived by many special friends; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
