She was predeceased by: her father Franklin "Aldean" Matthews; her daughter Becky Shore; and her siblings, David Franklin Matthews and Annette Matthews Sapp. She is survived by: her mother Lillie Mae Brown Hutchins; her daughter Sonja Barefoot; her sisters, Barbara Matthews and Amy McFadden; her grandchildren, Rachel Barefoot, Mason Barefoot, Mackenzie Baker and Corbin Baker; her close friend Pete Penly; and her pet Peaches. She is also survived by cousins and friends.
