We are sad to announce that on October 24, 2020, at the age of 74, Thurman Jay Smith of Yadkinville, North Carolina, born in Winston Salem, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Clarence and Annie Mozelle Reece Smith; and his siblings, Lonnie Leon Smith, Carl Cornelius Smith (Betty), Thomas Lee Smith (Barbara), Lillian Justice (Bill), Faye Snyder (Reid), Chalma Smith (Leomie), James Smith (Odie Lee), Judy Manuel (Andrew), Margaret Ann Smith Gilbert, Gail Lee (Nelson) and Jeanette Huffman (Lowell).
He is survived by: his wife Kaye Phillips Smith; his son Matthew Jay Smith (Nicole Carter Smith); his granddaughter Ivy Jane Smith; his sister Doris McDaniel (Ralph); and his brothers-in-law, Nelson Lee and Lowell Huffman.
The family request that wearing a face mask and social distancing be observed.
