He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Patty" Poteate Choplin; his children, Brent Choplin (Drama) and Julia Norman (Eddie); his grandchildren, Michelle Corcoran (Ben), Melonie Fleshman (Travis), Taylor Choplin (Whitley Todd) and Mallory Choplin; his great grandchildren, Amelia, Eliza, Amos, Silas Fleshman, Audrey and Nora Corcoran; his cousins, Frank Noble (Norma) and Wanda Doss (Joe); and his brothers-in-law, Avery Poteate, Eddy Poteate (Frances) and Joe Poteat (Cathe).
