He was predeceased by: his nephew Gavin Sheets. He is survived by: his parents, Richard Sheets and Patsy Ellis Sheets; his wife Mailea Edens Sheets; his son Atticus Lee Sheets; his siblings, Susan Gardner and Tracey Sheets (Loretta); his nieces and nephews, Amber Shoaf (Vic), Amanda Shoaf, Nathan Sheets (Miranda), Travis Sheets (Misty), Sawyer Sheets and Victoria Sheets; and his great-nephews, Kyler and Waylon Sheets.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the college fund for Atticus at any triad Allegacy Credit Union c/o Mailea Sheets.
