He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Vaught and Lessie Sage Vaught; his siblings, Della, Con, Roy, Carl and Edna; and his close friend Ellon Ratledge.
He is survived by: his son David Vaught (Ronda); his grandchildren, Jameson Vaught (Summer), Jennifer Booe (Brian) and Dawn Elam; his great grandchild Korbin Booe; his brother Emory Vaught; and his nieces, Nancy Matney, Sue Hounshell and Maryanne Poff.
