He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Ralph and Elizabeth Morton Barker; his wife Pat; his daughter Melissa Britt; his stepdaughter Sharon Snyder; his brother John Barker; and his brother-in-law Francis Murphy.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Barker (Megan) of Hampstead and David Barker (Tammy) of Walkertown; his stepdaughter Anita McKinney of Wilmington; his sisters, Elizabeth Murphy of Dallas and Angie Painter (Max) of Spartanburg; his sisters-in-law, Kathy Barker of Newport News and Martha Spence of Seneca; his grandchildren, Brittany Barker, Miki Barker, Mandy Barker, Emily Kirker (Patrick), Nick Barker, CJ Britt, Stephanie Rash (David), Ariel Miller (Jon), Robert McKinney, Kayla McKinney and Patrick McKinney; and his great grandchildren, Keegan Ennett and Macie Layke Cain.
