She was predeceased by: her parents, Kyle Monroe and Rosetta Harrold Brinegar; and her husband Billy Vernon Athan. She is survived by: her daughters, Cindi Athan Dixon (Robin, Sr.) and Vernay Athan Swaim (Devon); her grandchildren, Rob Dixon, Fiance Erica, Ryan Dixon (Madison), Alexandra Vittoe Hill (Alex) and Jonah Vittoe; her siblings, Marilyn Proffit and Stephen Brinegar; and her sister-in-law Brenda Athan. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
