She was predeceased by: her husband Edison Matthews; her parents, Joseph Burgess and Lydia Burgess; her brother Richard Burgess; her daughter Nancy Matthews Meza; and her granddaughter Yvonne Matthews.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Matthews, William Matthews and Jeanette Matthews Peck (Ron); and her grandchildren, Anthony Meza, Andre Meza, Dorothy Matthews Church (Todd) and William (Ashley).
