John Thomas Matthews Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Thomas Matthews of Yadkinville, North Carolina, who passed away on May 1, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Clyde Wesley Matthews, Sr.; his brother Clyde Wesley Matthews, Jr.; and his father-in-law Joseph Thad Holcomb. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Christine "Chris" Matthews; his daughters, Jennifer Matthews Pruitt (Matthew), Janel Matthews Steelman (Lincoln) and Heather Lutz (Hayes); his grandchildren, Carson, Saylor Pruitt, Rutledge, Emerson, Hensley and Phineas Steelman; his sister Brenda Matthews Foster (Derris); his mother-in-law Annette Holcomb; and his sister-in-law Teresa Geiger. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and numerous friends.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
