He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene "Genie" Dalton Davis and Etta "Eddie" Matthews Davis; his wife Louella Adams Davis; and his siblings, June Holcomb, Dalton Davis, Alvin Davis and Arzy Davis.

He is survived by: his sons, Michael Davis (Dara) and Mitchell Davis (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Adam Davis, Joshua Davis, Alyssa Stanley (Devin) and Morgan Davis (Bryson Tilley); and his sister Peggy York. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
