We are sad to announce that on July 1, 2020, at the age of 68, Irene Casstevens (Yadkinville, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Billy Joe; her daughter Kelly Jarvis; and her parents-in-law, Betty and Grady Casstevens. She is survived by: her mother Bertha Hodge Prim; her husband Alvin "Ray" Casstevens; her son Marty Casstevens (Tesha Brewer); her grandchildren, Dakota Casstevens (Macie Hutchens), Dylan Casstevens and Ethan Ray Jarvis; her son-in-law Alan Jarvis; and her siblings, Judy Borre (Tim) and Joe Edward Prim (Glenda).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gospel Chapel Church Cemetery Fund, 2916 Angus Road Boonville, NC 27011.

“I am so sorry to hear of Irene's passing away. We became friends when she drove the school bus for the handicapped students at Boonville School. Several of the students on her bus were in my classroom and she was always so kind and loving to them. She cared for them when they were on her bus just like they were her own precious children. I will always love her and cherish memories of her. My brother, Alex Draughon, also sends his sympathy to the family,”
