He was predeceased by: his parents, James Spann and Susie Barker Spann; his siblings, Katie Anderson (Alvin) and Ronnie Spann; and his nephew Patrick Spann.
He is survived by: his daughter Melissa Speaks (RJ); his grandchildren, Mariella, Trey and Helena Speaks; his nephew Brock Spann (Carrie); and his close friends, Ricky, Sissy Russell and Bridget Morris. He is also survived by cousins, friends.
