He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Travis and Laura Ward Holden; his wife Shirley Melton Holden; his stepmother Phoebe Mendenhall Holden; and his sister Margaret Holden Harris.
He is survived by: his son Scott; his daughter-in-law Martha Holden; and his brother-in-law Frank Harris (Nancy). He is also survived by several cousins and friends.
