It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Catherine Fortune Hobson (Yadkinville, North Carolina), born in Wytheville, Virginia, who passed away on April 4, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Fortune and Dorothy Fortune; her son Roy Edward Lamb, Jr.; her granddaughter Marcia Ann Lashmit; and her siblings, Arthur Fortune, Ellen Starnes and Jane Del Guerico.

She is survived by: her daughters, Delores Ayers, Deborah Hutchens and Doris Ezzell; her brother Sam Fortune (Rhonda); and her pet Katie. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
