It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Della Ruth Jester Vanhoy of Yadkinville, North Carolina, who passed away on March 28, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Jester and Callie Matthews Jester; her husband Hobert Coolidge Vanhoy; her son Hobert Darrell Vanhoy; her granddaughter Tammy Lynn Vanhoy; and her siblings, Ruby Kiger, Pauline Hobson, Clint, Jack, James, Everette, Howard, Eddie and Arvil Jester.
She is survived by: her children, Beverly Whitaker (Michael), Pam Jester (Martin), Richard Vanhoy (Toby), Sarah Carter (Danny) and Paula Dinkins (Tim Caudle); her daughter-in-law Rhonda Vanhoy; her grandchildren, Brian Whitaker, Angie Crater (Bart), Rita Cain, Amanda Bates (Shawn), Jamie Barber (Tracy), Brad Bryant, Justin Howell (Brittany), Brandon Carter (Otto Reynolds) and Ashley Bridgman; her stepgrandchildren, Keith Jones (Meloney), Rodney Jones (Penny), Holly McCormick (John), Katie Billings, Dakota Billings (Amber) and Logan Billings (Lori); and her sister-in-law Elsie Jester. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
