He is survived by: his daughter Elainna Rickenbacker (Yuri); his granddaughters, Zoe Rickenbacker and Twila "Sky" Rickenbacker; his brother Derl Bruce; his aunts and uncles, Nell B. Pullen, Dot B. Hutchens, Harold Bruce (Shelby), Harold Owens (Ann) and Roger Owens (Millie); and his close friend Phil Nifong.
