He was predeceased by: his parents, Demes Key and Lizza Donathan Key; and his siblings, Ruby Hester, Nellie Eldridge and Roger Key.

He is survived by: his siblings, Judy Salmons (Ronnie) and Troy Key (Cindy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
