He was predeceased by: his brother Donald Royal. He is survived by: his sons, Brenda Haire Royal, Ken Royal (Jean) and Tim Royal (Christine); his grandson Adam Royal; his stepgrandson Ian Wynn; and his siblings, Mary Ann Hill and Douglas Royal (Glenda). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
