It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cathryn Davenport Johnson (Yadkinville, North Carolina), who passed away on March 15, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. C. W. Davenport and Mamie Davenport; her siblings, Royce, Julian, Kirk, Charles, Gladys Carmichael, Mary Hauser, Eris Choplin and Janie Davenport; her friend Harriet Harper; her husbands, Oteen Wall Snyder and William Henry Johnson; and her stepson John Johnson.
She is survived by: her sister Carolyn Bovender of Wilmington, N. C.; her children, Michael O. Snyder (Denise), Debbi S. Shields (Ray) and Cheryl S. Dinkins (Tim); her grandchildren, Robert Snyder (Norma), Holly Snyder, Courtney Shields, Ashley Dinkins (Eric), Scott Dinkins (Natasha), Lindsay Dinkins and Marissa Dinkins; and her great grandchildren, Reynolds Bailey, Cate Bracken, Audrey Bracken, Talen Dinkins and Riven Dinkins. She is also survived by extended family and many friends.
