It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carlos Eugene Pennington Sr. of Yadkinville, North Carolina, who passed away on June 23, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Clint Pennington and Callie Ester Jones Pennington; his wife Mary Ruth Gentry Pennington; his daughter-in-law Melinda Pennington; and his siblings, Opal Brown, Joseph Pennington, Raymond Pennington and Spencer Pennington.
He is survived by: his children, Melissa Buelin (Johnny), Anita Bost (Sammy), Oscar Gilley (JoAnn) and Carlos Pennington, Jr. (Gwendolyn); his grandchildren, Amber Sayers, Andrea Sayers, John Gilley, Callie Mae Bost, Thomas Bost, Christopher Wood, Jocie Wood, Kaylinn Cave, Seth Rash and Joshua Rash (Darby); his great grandchildren, Izabella Byrd, Noah Byrd, Caleb Byrd, Ayla Chambers and Paxton Chambers; and his siblings, Maggie Mortez (Lloyd) and Walter Pennington (Linda). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
