He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Gorrell and Florence Alice Hobson Hinshaw; and his siblings, Steve Hinshaw, Pete Hinshaw, Rex Hinshaw, Ruby Nell Benton, Betty Trivette, Joyce Jester and Wanda Cass.
He is survived by: his wife Clara Brown Hinshaw; his daughters, Torri Sue Hinshaw and Sonja Mia Church; his brothers, Bruce Hinshaw (Pat) and Gary "Jim" Hinshaw (Belva) of East Bend; his granddaughters, Hanna Johnson (Nevin) and Amber Church of Ferguson; and his great grandchild Callum Johnson of North Wilkesboro.
