It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Jane Jeffrey (Yadkinville, North Carolina), born in Mabscott, West Virginia, who passed away on April 11, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Frankie James Slate; her husband Grady R. Jeffrey, Sr.; and her siblings, Robert Davis, James Davis, Frankie Slate, Sandra Slate and Okey Slate.
She is survived by: her children, Gloria Underwood (Michael), Jack Wood and Richie Jeffrey (Elisha); her grandchildren, Brad Underwood, Megan Underwood and Marshall Jeffrey; and her sister Linda Torres. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
