It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Audrey Smith Bavender (Yadkinville, North Carolina), who passed away on April 14, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roscoe Smith and Lillian Bovender Smith; her former husband Charles Dewey Holcomb; her husband Clyde Bavender; her children, Becky Holcomb Knott and Charles D. Holcomb; and her brothers, Aubrey Smith and Gray Smith.
She is survived by: her sons, Benny Holcomb (Donna) and Boyd Holcomb; her children-in-law, Kay Dunn (Donald) and Frank Knott (Betsy); her grandchildren, Ryan Boles (Sarah), Fronia Knott, Justin Dunn (Jessica) and Dillon Dunn (Rachel); her great grandchildren, Liam Dunn, Truett Dunn, Timothy Carpenter and Teegan Boles; and her siblings, Bobby Lee Smith, James Smith and Kathryne Powers. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to flowers, memorials may be made out to Deep Creek Friends Church Cemetery fund.
