She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thomas Taylor Jr. and Cora Newsome Taylor; her husband Robert Orrell Way, Jr.; and her siblings, William Thomas Taylor III (Jacqueline) and Miriam Frances Taylor.
She is survived by: her stepdaughter Caroline Way Gedney (Bart) of Wrightsville Beach; her stepgrandchildren, Melanie Rose Gedney and Jake Gedney; and her siblings, Nancy Taylor Lane of Visalia, CA, Kenneth Newsome Taylor (Faye) of Suffolk, VA, Anne Taylor Brown of Richmond, VA, Carol Taylor Jewell of Lewisburg, WV, Lynne Taylor Fleischman (John) of San Diego, CA, John Gardner Taylor of Murfreesboro, NC and Robert Lee Taylor of Como, NC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
