He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Sr. Jernigan and Ara Godwin Jernigan of Dunn; his siblings, Nancy E Jernigan, MD and Jerry O Jernigan (Deedie); his nieces, Teri J Minnis (Raleigh) and Sheila J McElveen (Wilmington); his nephew Brian M Jernigan (Christy) of Dunn; his great-niece Susannah McElveen; and his great-nephew Jake Jernigan.
The family requests no flowers, but welcomes donations to a charity of choice or to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
