She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Thornton and Rosa Thornton; and her siblings, Alice Bright, Geraldine Hunt, Donnie Ruth Lane, Evelyn Jenkins, Louise Mozingo, Herbert Thornton, F. B. Thornton and Jerry Mac Thornton.
She is survived by: her husband Dale Starbuck III; her siblings, Gene Thornton (Esther) and Yvonne Thornton; her daughters, Kelly Starbuck and Kimberly Starbuck Gilbert (Ryan); and her granddaughters, Jordan Starbuck and Dagny Starbuck Gilbert.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Wrightsville United Methodist Church (4 Live Oak Dr, Wrightsville Beach, NC 28480). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at the same location.
