It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Garver Mesimer Carriker of Woodleaf, North Carolina, who passed away on December 15, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lee Garver and Myrtle Goodman Garver; her former husband Johnny Melvin Mesimer; and her nephew Michael Lynn Mesimer. She is survived by: her siblings, Mable Walker, Pauline Brady, Velma Vanpelt, Hazel Johnson, Nita Overcash, Rachel Efrid, Wilma Adcock, Ollie Morrow, Fred Garver, Ernest Garver, Hoyle Garver and Oscar Garver; her children, Wanda Gail Pender, Johnny Craig Mesimer (Dawn) and Timothy Melvin Mesimer (Pansy); and her grandchildren, David, Kathy, Scott, Dean, Hunter, Charlene, Jimmy, James, Jesse, Chris, Cindy, Robin, Wayne, Sarah, Mary and Rebecca. She is also survived by 32 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
