It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joe Frank Horne of Woodleaf, North Carolina, who passed away on March 26, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Atlas Paul Horne and Ruby Curlee Horne; his wife Shirley Melton Horne; and his siblings, Atlas, Nelson, Marie, Wilson and Albert.
He is survived by: his children, Jean Bare, Derek (Carol), Eric (Dora), Gerald (Tammy) and Terry; and his sister Rebecca Boone. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calendar Whitley's Funeral Home (1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083). A graveside service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Carolina Memorial Park (3101 S Cannon Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083).
