He was predeceased by: his parents, Bishop W. O. K. Gray and Minnie Lee Fisher Gray; his son Joseph Craig Gray; and his siblings, Clarence William Gray, Sr., James Arthur Gray, Jean Esther Gray and Mary Nora Geter.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita Hamilton Gray; his son Reginald Lee Hamilton (Tanja) of Appling, GA; his daughter-in-law Mellba Cindale Gray Nelson (Micheal) of Hickory; his grandchildren, Rekeshia Shanel, Reginald Devonte Hamilton, Angel Cintisha Teloria and Jasmine Victoria Gray; his great grandchild Cinlee Jo Ramseur; his siblings, Raymond Gray Woodleaf (Dorothy), Addie Burnett of Kernersvlle, Thelma Lazenby of Salisbury, Naomi Watkins (Leon) of Woodleaf, Mary Jo Imes (Leon) of Woodleaf and Alice Cleveland (Henry) of Woodleaf; and his sisters-in-law, Henreitta Gray, Mary Lois Gray of Woodleaf and Blanche Parker of Statesville.
