She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernie Wilson Jefferson and Martha Augusta Edwards Jefferson; her son Thomas "Tommie" Wilson Canady; her siblings, Dorothy "Dot" Banks, Evelyn Lilley, Ruth Avery and Jimmie Jefferson; her children, Lin Canady Jr. (Patricia) of Quaker Square and Lorie Barnes (Edward) of Fuquay Varina, NC; her grandchildren, Kimberly Woollen (Steven) of South Port, NC, Jeremy Canady (Kimberly) of Margarettsville, NC, Gregory Canady (Brittany) of Woodland, Cody Barnes (Kelsey) of Zebulon, NC, Ellianne Wallace (Stephen) of Norwood, NC and Luke Barnes (Konner Williams) of Burlington, NC; and her great grandchildren, Barrett Woollen, Kai Woollen, Addis Woollen, Natalie Canady, Nolan Canady, Nyla Canady, Cooper Canady, Tristen Canady, Harper Canady, Willow Barnes, Blakely Wallace and Emmette Wallace.
She is survived by: her husband Linwood; and her sister Kay Jefferson Rhodes (Denny) of Alabama. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, extended family members, and countless friends.
A memorial service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Potecasi Baptist Church (3264 NC-35, Woodland, NC 27897). Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 1:45 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Ladies Bridge Club.
