With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shelby Jean Hodge of Winterville, North Carolina, born in Columbus, North Carolina, who passed away on January 31, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, London Carter and Edna T. Carter; and her brother L. C. Carter. She is survived by: her husband Tommy Hodge; her daughter Tonia Hodge Marshall (Dennis Marshall); her grandchildren, Hailee Marshall and Dalton Marshall; and her sisters, Shirley Carter, Simmie Faye Mills and Sarah Nobles.
