He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jennifer; his son Michael Jr. (Angel) of Columbia, NC; his granddaughter Alivia; his stepdaughter Charlsea of Raleigh, NC.; his siblings, Carlton Skinner (Jennifer) of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Lillian Dozier (Walter) of Chesapeake, Virginia and Mary Berry of Elizabeth City, NC.; his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Skinner and Hazel Skinner; and his parents, Sheldon Hardy and Rose Hardy. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles-in love, cousins, friends, and co-workers.

He always greeted us with a smile and a joke and often some peanuts. We all knew his favorite snack here was a banana nut muffin and he always wanted his truck washed before service so the tire shine would dry. He will surely be missed by us all.
