She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Edward and Aleane Myrick Carawan. She is survived by: her sons, Matthew Merritt of Winterville and Jeffrey Merritt of Winterville; her sister Trudy Carawan Duke (Bill) of Roanoke Rapids; and her niece Jennifer Duke Thompson (Carl) of Apex.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Cedarwood Cemetery (1100 W 4th St, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870).
