He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Rickie J. Worthington of Winterville; his children, Jonathan Frederick Worthington (Lori) of Camden and Sonya Worthington Games (Jimmy) of Greenville; his grandchildren, James Frederick "Jake" Worthington, Owen Worthington Games and Jackson Anderson Games; his sister Kathy Marengo (Mike) of Winterville; his uncle Alva Worthington of Winterville; and his aunt Margaret "Peggy" Langston Baker of Winterville.
